WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
Tuesday, 24-Jun-2008 06:06:38 MDT
The USGenWeb Project's Official Copyright Policy
The USGenWeb Project will not tolerate any copyright
violations. Lookup requests should be limited to one name, or perhaps two
if it is a married couple. Information given should be minimal, for
example: If it is a cemetery lookup, the information should be the name
of the cemetery and the dates on the headstone. If someone asks for
"everybody with X surname" or an entire family group, or for
hardcopies to be mailed, please advise that The USGenWeb Project
volunteers have been asked not to comply with such requests. Lookups can
extend to searching the copyrighted material to determine if the
material would be helpful to the requester in their research. Should the
copyrighted material prove useful, the volunteer can provide the
author's address and ordering information. The USGenWeb Project
will endeavor to get a WRITTEN statement from each copyright holder
which stipulates which books may be used for lookups.

Finnmark
County, Norway
I have a Norwegian web site with
thousand of names of emigrants from every corner of Finnmark Co.
to Michigan or other northern states in USA via port of
Trondheim in the year 1867-1925. The pages has also immigrants
and emigrants to and from the Vadsų area in Finnmark County,
Norway from Finland/Sweden, it is a transcription from the
church book of Vadsų and North-Varanger parish. Many of those
who emigrated to USA were married in Vadsų and you can also
find some of them at my marriage page.
I'm willing to do lookup regarding Vadsų and Alta city
since I have a copy of the church records at home, and the
1865-1875-1900 census too for both cities.
